The Case for Impact Sourcing

adminWhat We're Reading

A thoughtful piece of research by Everest and sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation as part of their Digital Jobs Africa Initiative.  It discusses why Impact Sourcing is good and good for you.  Lower costs than BPO, same (or better) quality, lower attrition and the services firms themselves seem happy with the results they are achieving.  While apparently 60+% of Impact Sourcing hires are classified as unintentional, the attention being paid to this effective melding of charity and capitalism is promising.  Enterprises have a great opportunity to positively impact developing nations and disadvantaged communities, both home and abroad.  This is an interesting piece of research, and worth reading to get a better sense of what the Rockefeller Foundation and several global firms are taking quite seriously as a way to do good.
